Happy birthday to me

It’s my birthday. Hooray! Officially I am 33 but I am claiming back the GST and am therefore only 30. Again.

I am a big fan of making birthday celebrations last for at least one week and if you can get longer out of it all the better. And it’s just as well because I find myself sick on my birthday.

So as my celebrations started last week and continue into the coming weekend my day today will be spent doing anything that involves lying down. I have DVDs and a great new book (Those Faraday Girls by Australian author Monica McInerney) that is delightfully long and could easily contain two whole novels: great value that one! I picked it up in Perth airport a few days ago on my way home from swimming with the dolphins in Bunbury–an early birthday treat.

Perhaps this is why am now ill. Perhaps too much celebrating can be a bad thing?

No. On second thoughts that cannot possibly be true. The more joy and fun in all of our lives the better and not just on our birthdays. I invite you all to do something celebratory today too. Just because.

So happy birthday to me and pass another round of cake over–the nausea is just about to clear 🙂

I went to a 30th-plus-GST once and met a man who drove a lotus. I was so impressed: “OMG – You drive a flower! That’s so cool!” Icepack on forehead lovey and you too can be cool on your birthday. xx

Happy Birthday Jo. Keep the cake for the next day, and the next, and the next. They always last a week! Hope you get better soon!

What a great idea claiming back the GST 🙂 Glad you’re making your birthday last a week, perhaps it should be two. Too much celebrating is never a bad thing – you just need to take time out with your books and dvd’s and it’s the universe’s way of allowing you to do so, coz if I know you, you would find something else to do that may not be nurturing. Happy Birthday lovely and enjoy 🙂 In luv and wellness alwayz – eat more cake for the nausea shall pass. xxx
